The best cable access channel ever
I have to give a shout out to Madison's generic public access station I don't turn it on often, but when I do I wonder why I don't watch it all the time. Here is a sampling of the wonders I've seen on Channel 4:
- "I Eat Weeds and Trees", a short recurring spot where a really happy guy explains how to ... select, prepare (or not) and eat various weeds and trees
- A home movie of someone's Christmas party, which took place in a finished basement
- Half an hour of relatively obscure 80's music videos, hosted by a couple of teens, including Billy Idol's "Cradle of Love"
- An awesome B horror movie from 1986 called "Chopping Mall" wherein several teens are trapped in a mall all night with a killer robot
- The entire concert film and documentary of Johnny Cash live in San Quentin prison
- A program I've seen at least 4 times that consists of a single camera close-up of meat cooking. No commentary, no other angles. The ones I recall include a whole fish, a pile of bologna, and a pork chop.

I need this station.
I like to watch the nun on tv doing the rosary. she's great.
I also like Kenosha cable access because man, what the heck is wrong with people from kenosha? they tend to make the most rediculous things.
One thing I do not like, fishing shows. No way. Not happenin.
Laura and I watched this local show that was almost like Wayne's World - but not made to be funny. This guy had his girlfriend (a singer/guitar player) perform on his show. It was 10 minutes of hell. This girl was the worst singer I've ever heard, and yet, it was as thought I HAD to watch this trainwreck. Local stations are hypnotizing I tell ya.
I used to watch fishing shows all the time when I was little! I haven't seen one in years, though. I think it was all part of my obsession with going fishing - my dad always claimed we'd go, but he liiiiiiied.
I want to see that local Wayne's World-esque show.
It's worth it.
Believe me, it's worth it!
If someone made a "best of cable access" DVD, I would be all over that.
