Planning
The Atlantic Canada adventure looks to be a go, although I haven't done any of that stuff like purchasing plane tickets, booking hotels, securing time off, etc. Details. Actually what's currently making me hesitate are the abominable airfares. I'm looking at about $560 for the flights alone. Yikes. I still really want to go, but it almost seems like they shouldn't be allowed to charge that much. There are some other places I'd like to go in the not-too-distant future, including L.A., Virginia (if Michelle takes a volunteer job there), and maybe NYC. We'll see.
I saw the Court and Spark and Autumn Defense on Friday night. That was fun. The Harmony Grill has delicious clam chowder.
All this potential spending of money has made me reexamine my desire to spend more each month on rent. Because, see, I like going places and buying stuff too.
And the best news is that I bought freezy pops, and they are currently freezing.
I'd like to leave you with a picture of a welwitschia mirabilis, a plant I'd forgotten I ever knew about. Until I saw it mentioned in The Island of the Colorblind and realized I used to pass a labeled drawing of one in the botany/biology building on campus every single day on my way to class junior year. It was opposite a staircase. In the photo below, it may or may not be eating that man.

I fear that the man in that picture is now dead. Eaten by the plant. Sorry that I had to be the bearer of bad news, but, that's life.
Laura bought Freezies yesterday.
Last night I enjoyed an orange one and a green one.
I'm not gonna lie. I couldn't wait, and therefore drank the almost freezing cold liquid of a pink one, hours before enjoying my frozen 2.
I almost did that too! It seemed like they took waaay too long to freeze properly. Makes you wonder. Anyway, I wasn't able to enjoy one until Monday night.
