Fort Myers

Another week, another trip for work. I've been in Fort Myers for the past couple of days, working night shifts this time. The weather here in SW Florida has been (shocker) hot and muggy, although the ER is freezing. There's a nice pool in the hotel courtyard though. At least one advantage of working nights is that I can wake up around 2:00 p.m. and have some afternoon time free before going to work.

You'd think I might have made a similar seafood-only vow to my Pacific Northwest vow earlier this month. As it turns out, though, with the night schedule food options are pretty limited. I am bound for East Coast vacation fun starting tomorrow afternoon - plenty of seafood and shenanigans to follow. (Seafood and Shenanigans - the name of my future restaurant.)

From Heidi:

You travel around the US more than anyone else I know! I love the picture of the courtyard. Seems so exotic! Have you seen any gators?

More importantly - UPDATE ON THE HOUSE!!!!! :)

I didn't see any gators, though one of our cab drivers pointed out an area where they like to congregate. I'll update on the house when I return from vacation!
