By the light of the Ameristar
Just checking in from a BBQ & music extended long weekend. Extended almost to the next weekend, that is. Ahhh. So far we've been in St. Louis (home of the awesome City Museum, a sort of giant adult playground ... not like that), and now in Kansas City. We ate at Arthur Bryant's last night, and had the best damn BBQ ever. We brought about 50 pounds of it back to our hotel, too. The only downside so far has been the suckmazing weather in western Missouri. Of course it couldn't be 70 and sunny right now. Oh well!

BBQ tourism--now *that's* an idea.
You know, I hear they serve great BBQ at the War House of Dinettes.
Ah, I believe I can see the glow of the Ameristar from here...
I loved the year I lived in St. Louis - well technically I resided in Bridgeton...
At any rate, the weather in MO was nice one day a month maybe, the rest was just suckfest. I especially loved the color-coding of ozone days they do. They actually have a color that tells you that you shouldn't go outside of your house and breath the air.
Nice huh?
I could seriously get behind BBQ tourism.
Heidi #1: can you believe none of us actually got a picture of the War House of Dinettes? Unless you guys managed one. Do you think one of your family members could be bribed into taking one and sending it?
Heidi #2: I keep forgetting you lived in St. Louis for a year. Did you ever see any concerts at the Pageant? Or have you played at the City Museum?
Kate, that sundae sounds delicious! And I had no idea the City Mueseum changed their exhibits. Now I have to go back. Actually, my dream is to somehow break in and have it all to myself at like 4:00 a.m. Mwahahaha.
Is the Cabin the place with all of the corndog legends on the walls? If so, we were in there.
Ah, then we didn't go to the Cabin. Next time! And we did go to the City Museum at night. We were there from about 10:30-12:30. There weren't little kids, of course, but plenty of older high school and college "kids" were there.
