The best thing ever

Oh my God. I was reading through my alumni magazine and saw the bio department at the UW just bought one of these. A three-dimensional printer. That's right. It can print out three-dimensional models as large as 20" X 24" x 16", in color. I can't even wrap my mind around the sheer awesomeness. You can print out ANYTHING! It's one step closer to teleportation! You can print out shoes! Toys! Vases! Dollhouse furniture! Yeah, or bacteria tails, complex proteins, and DNA helices, but who even cares? I need to see this thing in action. I wonder if the Bio Media Center will have visiting hours for it, or if someone could send out alerts when they're going to print something new?
